Summary

The vMX100 functions as a virtual instance of a Meraki security and SD-WAN appliance, deployed on an AWS EC2 instance or Azure VM. Configured via the Meraki Dashboard like a physical MX, it operates as a VPN concentrator, providing seamless Auto VPN connectivity to distributed networks. Connections to a virtual MX offer the same SD-WAN features as a physical MX, including Dynamic Path Selection for optimal traffic routing between physical or virtual datacenter servers.

The vMX100 supports up to 500 Mbps of VPN throughput, making it suitable for mission-critical IT services hosted in cloud environments, such as Active Directory, logging, and file/print services.

Requires a Meraki cloud-management license, available in 1, 3, or 5-year options.
