FEATURES
ADVANCED NETWORK MANAGEMENT CAPABILITIES
The Linksys LGS552 switch delivers advanced Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 static routing, enabling seamless communication between different VLANs without any performance loss. Internal routing is handled efficiently by the switch, allowing your router to manage external traffic and security with dedicated fixed paths, making your network faster and more reliable.
ADVANCED TRAFFIC-HANDLING INTELLIGENCE
Layer 2 MAC and Layer 3 IP flow-based policies, along with rate-limiting controls, help prioritize traffic. This ensures high-bandwidth, real-time applications like voice and video operate smoothly without impacting other business-critical applications.
ADVANCED NETWORK SECURITY FEATURES
A comprehensive suite of security tools safeguards your network. Access Control Lists (ACLs) restrict unauthorized users and block potential external attacks. DHCP snooping, IP and MAC-Port Binding functions maintain network integrity. IEEE 802.1X Port Security strictly controls access to network segments, while Port Authentication and MAC-based Port Security ensure only authorized clients can send and receive data.
FIBER-OPTIC NETWORK EXPANSION SUPPORT
The LGS552 supports additional Gigabit SFP+ fiber-optic ports, enabling scalable network expansion for server farms or data center environments. These ports enhance high-bandwidth performance, provide redundancy, and simplify network growth. Mini Gigabit Interface Converter (mini-GIBC) expansion ports allow additional fiber-optic or Gigabit Ethernet uplinks.
